INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

Carlsbad Community Church provides financial support to 28 missionary families living or operating in 19 foreign countries. Support is also provided to 12 missionary units who serve in various ministry capacities or as mission mobilizers in the USA. This support is met with a Faith Promise budget (separate from the General Fund) of approximately $250,000 per year. You will find a missions display in the lobby of the Worship Center that contains a map and information pertaining to our missionaries. Please pick up their recently received letters located by the map that will allow you to know more about them and the work God has called them to do. 22 members of Carlsbad Community Church serve as full time missionaries. We encourage several short-term mission trips by youth and adults each year.

Our primary, week-long annual Missions Conference is held each February with guest speakers and missionaries presenting Saturday seminars, evening fellowships and preaching on two Sundays providing information to the congregation about the various ways God’s Word is impacting the unreached around the world through them. A one-weekend mini-Mission Conference is held each October.

MOSSY FOOT PROJECT

Mossy Foot occurs in Wolaitta County and in other parts of Ethiopia. Our Mossy Foot Project Committee has been able to purchase the proper socks in quantity at less than $1.00 per pair. Shoes are made by recovering patients. Dr. Barlow estimated that 1500 pairs of socks are needed monthly.

A sock drive is held periodically at Carlsbad Community Church. Bulk purchases have proven to be most practical.

EVANGELISM EXPLOSION

• Trained leaders equip team members to share their faith in Jesus Christ. Teams of individuals then call upon visitors.
• God has used these faithful servants to share the good news of the gospel with many in our community see our harvest report.
• During this entire process everyone grows in his or her spiritual walk.

You can help people make the most important decision of their life! Every week in Evangelism Explosion people just like you share the wonderful message of the Gospel with others and see exciting results. In Evangelism Explosion, you learn how to share your personal testimony as well as how to naturally approach the subject of spiritual matters with a friend, family member, or co-worker. You also learn a simple five-point outline with appropriate Scriptures and several illustrations that help relate the Gospel to everyday life.
