We want our Awana students to know the truth of God’s Word, and we want to train them to live submitted to Jesus in their everyday lives. We know that many of today’s Awana clubbers will become tomorrow’s leaders.
While Awana has many things to interest boys and girls, such as games and special activities, the heart of the program is Bible memory work. The Trek handbooks contain an approximately 90 verses. Trained leaders help apply the carefully chosen verses to the daily experiences of the student with the goal establishing a solid doctrinal foundation for a life of walking with Jesus.
Trek is the middle school program of Awana. It is geared to challenge the students during the transitional years of junior high and keep them engaged in the Church. It is full of fun and learning.
Their handbook is actually two books in one. Half of the book takes them on a Biblical “trek” and the other half addresses the many questions middle schoolers wrestle with on a daily basis with answers from the Bible. These clubbers continue to learn how to love and serve the Lord and others.
