Family Bio

I became a Christian at the University of California in Berkeley through the Campus Crusade for Christ Ministry in 1964.  Subsequently I joined the Campus Crusade student staff.  After I graduated and was commissioned as a U.S. Army Second Lieutenant, I served as a Rifle Platoon Leader in Vietnam in 1967.  Upon returning to the States, I began studies at the Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado and graduated in 1974.  I became Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lakewood, Colorado, in 1974, and was ordained into the Ministry in 1975.  We moved to California and joined Carlsbad Community Church in 1985.  I am active in church ministries, I served with the Stephen Ministry and as an Elder in 1989 and in 2005.  I have also served as Regional Chaplain for Point Man International Ministry.  I have been married to Arlene since 1973 and we have a daughter, April Joy and a son, Ted.
